I was using active collab for a while but I ran into the same senerio... my clients would never access the admin panel or upload content like I requested. I think that it's a little difficult for some people to learn the layout of these project managers.. I like how you can limit access to certain areas in basecamp so its a little more useable for people with limited time or knowledge of the software.
I have 8 contracts right now, and I don't even respond to normal emails. I force them to use base camp for my personal sanity. My only complaints are you can't install it on your own server and the price is too steep and fire side is not available on the $50 account.. But fire side is to hyped up any way. I can build an app like that in a few hours on my own server
Yeah, me too man! I've been working as a web designer/flash developer for Upper Deck. I just started the job few weeks ago. They do some heavy flash work using xml. I've been tutorializing my ass off trying to pick up new techniques.
Upper Deck is such a great company. It's a nice transition from the legal environment.
