About My Site/s
My site showcases and offers spectacular Amish furniture and craft items from unknown and unfound master Amish craftsmen. I highlight particular Amish families, Amish customs and practices, and give an insider type of viewpoint to Amish community issues, challenges and qualities. I have many squidoo lenses that focus on particular Amish products or issues, and have several groups of squidoo lenses about which I blog.

Other
I occasionally blog from my dog's point of view with his pictures and issues, and I have a hilarious squidoo page for him The Thoracle and for other interests that I have.

About Yourself
Owner of a small Amish furniture & crafts website and advocate for the Amish community members that I work with. I attempt to bring attention to the challenges and difficulties the larger society is posing for the Amish, and to make them better known and understood. I have other interests as well, of course.

I built a page with a really good breakfast recipe from one of my Amish women friends. If you try it, let me know how you like it! Morning Hash

(honestly people, I'm NOT sucking up here, follow the links, read for yourself)

Welcome, Thoracle. I read with interest your blogs on the Amish. I agree, trying to mainstream these gentle people, who choose to adhere to the old ways, is nonsense. Not only was I in "shock and awe" about the horror of the Amish schoolhouse tragedy, I was also in "shock and awe" as I observed the dignity, unshakeable faith, forgiveness, strength and resolve demonstrated by the Amish, during a most faith-challenging event. The goal shouldn't be to change the Amish way of life, it should be to learn from it.
